Born out of a love of low frequency reproduction, Claer speakers are a small, transmission line based, speaker design company.
Transmission lines are the favoured design for low frequency reproduction, they also have the benefit of a clear and uncoloured midrange.
Whilst no speaker should be geared towards a particular genre, Claer speakers are especially suited to music with a lot of low frequency content due to their ability to reproduce it (ie, drum and bass / dubstep / soul / techno / garage), although all genres of music will be improved through the full range capabilities of Claer speakers.
Whilst sound quality is obviously the focus for any speaker cabinet, here there is also an additional emphasis on design & being a bit different, so dont expect to see too many tradititional speaker boxes (although there will be some...)
Features of all Claer speakers:-
• Transmission line enclosures - smooth, deep & musical bass reproduction, none reasonant cabinets, neutral, uncoloured sound.
• Full range or Coaxial drivers - To replicate a point source as much possible and keep phase distortion to a minimum.
• Low tuning frequencies - Selecting drivers specially suited to playing low frequencies.
• Cabinets designed around the drivers - we don't just put speakers in boxes, each cabinet is designed to complement the driver it is paired with.
• First order crossovers - More power to the speakers and less phase distortion introduced compared to higher order crossovers.
• Cabinets designed to reduce the 3rd and 5th harmonics plus foam damping of the 7th and above harmonics leads to a smoother response.
• Original finishes - With a laser cut, acrylic logo.
